Sleep in your Own Bed

Most children like the idea of having their own room.  They can be the Queen or King of their territory. However, when it comes to sleeping in their own bed having their own room doesn't have the same appeal to it. Getting a young child to sleep in their own bed can be very trying.  The Pillow Fairy by Marcia G. Riley is a great bedtime story that can get your child sleeping in her or his bed alone in no time.

The Pillow Fairy is a well written and illustrated book that follows a three year old boy named Matt and is reluctance with sleeping in his own bed.  Matt is a very active little boy, but when it is bedtime he doesn't want to be alone. His parents try their best to accommodate him, but they know that he will have to eventually start sleeping in his own bed alone. One night Matt's mom remembers a story that she was told when she was young that helped her sleep in her own bed.

The pillow fairy visits children while they are sleep and only rewards them gifts if they are sleeping in their bed alone. Matt is extremely excited for the pillow fairy to visit him and is even more happy to find little present under his pillow.  After Matt starts sleeping in his own bed by himself the pillow fairy stopped coming. He become really sad about this, but his mom told him that the pillow fairy has to help other children sleep in their own bed and she will check to see if he is sleeping alone from time to time.

This is a wonderful children's book and I would highly recommend getting it for your child or a child you may know and love.

What a great book to help kids sleep in their own bed. I was lucky that son liked his bed and room better than ours.

This sounds like a really cute book. I always loved reading to my kids each night when they were little.

What a great book if you have a kid that isn't quite comfortable sleeping alone. I do know of one boy that slept with this parents until he was 10! Wish they had had this book.

This sounds like such a cute story for young children to help them with sleeping in their own bed. I will have to get this for my 3 year old little girl.

This looks like such a cute book for little ones. Maybe it will help some parents whose children are having a hard time sleeping in their bed.

It looks like a great children's book. I have a little great niece that loves these type of books and this would be perfect for her.

I would have loved to have had this book when we were first trying to transition my daughter to her own bed. It sounds like a great story that little ones will be able to relate to!

What a fabulous idea for a book. My 4 year old just moved out of my bed, though she still sneaks in a few nights a week. My soon to be 2 year old it the next to get the boot!
